The Aeronix-developed and maintained WinIDM is the world’s premier VMF-capable software modem.  It removes the need for external modem hardware boxes for the dismounted warfighter.   It is the modem solution for the majority of the U.S. and International Digitally-Aided Close Air Support (DaCAS) tactical applications.  It is also the DaCAS gold standard, as it is the MIL-STD-188-220 element of the U.S. DaCAS DVMT test kit that U.S. and coalition tactical applications use to measure interoperability.
